Media Advisory: 2026 CHSAA State Wrestling

If you’re a credentialed member of the media and you need access to the RSVP form for the 2025 CHSAA Wrestling State Championships, please email Amanda McClure at amcclure@chsaa.org and include your credential number. The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, Feb. 17 and all parking passes will be issued on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) will host its 2026 Wrestling State Championships at Ball Arena on Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 19-21.

Due to the high number of media at this event and the protocols at Ball Arena, CHSAA will utilize the procedures outlined below. Please ensure you’re familiar with all of them if you will be covering the event.

There will be two request forms: one for Press Row (300 Level) media seating and one for parking.

  • For credentialed media members that do not need parking or reserved seating, you do not need to fill out either form

MEDIA CHECK IN

Media must complete two check-ins at Ball Arena:

  • Enter through Door 5 with a CHSAA-issued media credential and sign in at the Media Check-In table.
  • After entering the arena, check in with CHSAA staff at the table between the PointsBet Lounge and the tunnel to the floor to receive a floor pass.

STUDENT MEDIA

Student media with CHSAA-issued student media passes will be granted entry through Door 5. All CHSAA Student Media Pass Policies will be in effect, particularly that one pass will grant access for one student, two students cannot share one pass. Also, only current high school students are eligible to utilize the pass (no adults, no former students, etc.).

For Sessions 1-5, due to space constraints, student media will NOT be able to get on the floor to shoot. All seating is general admission throughout the arena for these sessions, so students may obtain an open seat in the stands to shoot from there. Student media will be able to access tunnels for interviews and can obtain space in the media workrooms to work.

For Session 6 (finals), ONE student with a CHSAA-issued student media pass per wrestler for their school will be allowed on the floor to shoot photos. Students MUST check in at the media check in table prior to the time in which they look to gain floor access to obtain a floor pass. Due to space constraints on the media boxes on the floor, student media will only be allowed on the floor to shoot the particular match while their school’s wrestler is competing.

Please ensure all student media are familiar with the protocol for Floor Access.

RADIO/AUDIO ONLY BROADCASTS

Please submit your broadcast agreement form no later than Tuesday, Feb. 17. Requests submitted after this time may not be considered. Please also submit the RSVP form to request seats in the Press Row (300 Level) area. With written media now sharing that space with audio/radio, seating will be limited, so it’s imperative that you request the necessary amount of seats in advance.

The deadline to RSVP for parking or a seat on Press Row (300 Level) is Tuesday, Feb. 17.

MEDIA PARKING RESERVATIONS

All parking passes must be reqeusted by Tuesday, Feb. 17. Late requests will not be honored.

Media with a parking pass will be allowed to park for free in the Camry Lot (until filled). You must request a pass in advance through the RSVP form. Passes will be sent to the email provided on the RSVP form through Ticketmaster on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Please do not inquire about the status of parking passes in advance of this date.

Please note that parking is provided by Ball Arena, so it’s important that you review all of the information provided below. The CHSAA staff will NOT be able to assist you with accessing your parking passes.

All parking passes are all-day passes with come and go privileges for the Camry Lot. These are NOT reserved spots, so a pass does not guarantee you a spot. Please be mindful of this and arrive early, if necessary.

Parking passes will be available through KSE Account Manager (https://am.ticketmaster.com/kse). If you already have a Ticketmaster account, it would be the same log in process to access Account Manager as you’re used to now. Please provide that email address when requesting a parking pass (keep in mind that it may be your personal, not professional, email address).

  • In addition, please double check that your email address is spelled properly. We will not be able to edit email addresses once submitted to Ball Arena staff.

Important note: The ticket will be sent to the email that you use to RSVP, so this may not be the same email address as what your current Account Manager is registered to (work vs. personal email, etc.). You won’t be able to log in to your current Account Manager and see the ticket if the email provided on the RSVP form is not the same as what your Account Manager is registered to. If that’s the case, you will need to create a NEW Account Manager with the email address where you received the ticket alert before you’ll be able to view the parking ticket.

Once you accept the ticket in your new account, you can transfer it to your other account (just as you would transfer someone else concert tickets, etc.). Therefore, if you are an editor or manager that is requesting multiple parking passes for your staff, you will need to transfer these passes to the person(s) that you have assigned to cover on the respective days. Those recipients may not be receiving this email, so please forward this information to them.

MEDIA SEATING

While there will be no media seating on the floor, media will be able to utilize the PointsBet Lounge right off of the floor, the Media Workoom in the back tunnel or Press Row (300 level).

For media members requiring a reserved seat, you can RSVP for a media seat on Press Row (the 300 level) through the form linked above. Please note that access to the floor from this level will require the use of an elevator, so if you do not intend to utilize this space, please do not RSVP for a seat. The two media workrooms available on the floor level will be open seating and available for all media during the championships. There will be power and wifi available in all spaces.

All media seating on Press Row (300 Level) will be at the discretion of the CHSAA media personnel on site, with priority for seating going to radio/audio broadcasts.

When making your reservation for a seat on Press Row (300 Level), please indicate which sessions you will be covering and on which days.

FLOOR ACCESS

ALL media members needing access to the floor will need to check in with the CHSAA staff member in the PointsBet Lounge to obtain a floor pass and wrist band. This pass is in addition to your CHSAA-issued media credential or provisional pass. Please ensure you allow enough time to obtain this floor pass and wristband as you will not be permitted on the floor without them.

Once on the floor, please remain on the perimeter of the mats and do NOT cross the mats at any time. You MUST walk around them and remain in a seated or kneeling position while shooting so as to not disrupt the event or impede the view of the spectators behind you.

During finals, there will be media boxes designated on the floor. ALL media MUST remain in a seated or kneeling position within these designated areas during each weight class in order to assist with the patrons’ sight lines behind you. Please stay low and within a designated box until all matches in a particular weight class are completed before moving to another mat or off the floor.

No stools, seats, cushions or excess gear will be allowed on the floor for safety and space concerns at any time. Please leave all computers and additional gear in a media workroom.

Cheering of any kind is strictly prohibited while on the floor. Interviews must take place off of the floor area. Photos are prohibited during weigh ins.

In addition, while you are on the floor, you will need to ensure three things are visible at all times:

  • The year-long CHSAA media credential or provisional pass issued to you,
  • The wrestling floor pass obtained on site, and
  • Wrist band.

Note: Due to space constraints, student media will NOT be allowed on the floor during Sessions 1-5. Students will be allowed on the floor to shoot their school during the finals.

For media intending to work solely from the Press Row (300 Level), you do NOT need to obtain a floor pass. You can proceed with your CHSAA-issued media credential or provisional pass to the 300 Level.

ENTERING THE ARENA

All media will need to enter the facility through the Main Grand Entrance on the Ball Area west side (entrance by the team shop and large escalators) to check in. There will be a specific media entrance (Door 5), so please avoid the public’s general admission entry lines.

A CHSAA-issued media credential or provisional pass will be REQUIRED to enter through this media entrance.

The Ball Arena security and screening process will be in place. You will have bags searched and will need to go through scanners. The Clear Bag Policy does not apply to media members with a CHSAA-issued media credential or provisional pass.

Media Check In will open two hours before the start of a session. Earliest allowable check-in times for media are as follows:

  • Thursday – 10 a.m. (events start at noon)
  • Friday – 7 a.m. (events start at 9 a.m.)
  • Saturday – 7 a.m. (events start at 9 a.m.)

If you do not have a CHSAA-issued Annual Pass or Provisional Pass, you will not be allowed into the arena as a media representative. You may purchase a ticket, but you will not be allowed onto the floor or into media areas.
