Alpine Skiing: 2026 State Championship Roundup

VAIL – Vail Ski Resort was the setting for the the Colorado High School Activities Association’s Alpine Skiing State Championships Wednesday and Thursday, and Summit emerged with team championships for both the boys and the girls.

Individually, Summit’s Seth Montgomery repeated as the boys giant slalom (Wednesday) and slalom (Thursday) champion, making it three years in a row that he has won both events to give him six individual titles. For the girls, Battle Mountain’s Eden DeMino won the slalom on Thursday (she had finished second in the giant slalom behind sister Ruth last year) and Malie Dieterich led Summit to a sweep of the top four spots in Wednesday’s giant slalom.

The 2026 Nordic Skiing State Championships will take place Friday and Saturday at Snow Mountain Range near Granby.
